Old mindset: I'll go later/tomorrow.
New mindset: Screw that, let's get it over with. Afterwards: Netflix & Chill.
Old mindset: I don't want to go now, the gym will be too busy.
New mindset: Forget that, there's hundreds of weights and machines in the gym. (And no matter how crammed the parking lot looks, it's never really that bad.) I'll have a backup plan in case my machine/squat rack/barbell is taken
Old mindset: I don't want to go now, there's too much traffic on the roads.
New mindset: I'll give myself extra time so the traffic will be irrelevant.
Old mindset: It's too cold, I don't want to leave the house.
New mindset: I'll layer up, pre-start the car so its warm for the drive, then get sweaty to stay warm and use up all their hot water for my post-workout shower.
Old mindset: I can't go today, my workout buddy bailed.
New mindset: They snooze, they loose. I'll go to a group class instead.
Old mindset: I have a really busy day and don't have time today.
New mindset: I'll just go in for 20 minutes of cardio.
(Hint: This one is a trick. Because once you're there, you think 'screw it, I'm already here, let's throw some weight around/do a quick HIIT instead' Yeah!)
