It's officially fall! Which means along with cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin spice everything, it's also the best time for hiking! Hiking is a favourite past time of mine and it's usually what I'll be doing most weekends throughout the summer and fall. And every time I'm out on a hill or mountain somewhere, in addition to just soaking up all the nature and killer views, I think to myself "this is way better than working out in the gym!" So with that thought, I thought I would share with you why in fact you should replace your next workout with a hike!
When it comes to fitness goals, especially weight loss, nutrition is the biggest and most important piece of the pie. Yet one of the most common things we see with people's diets, especially those with weight loss goals, is that they're not actually eating enough. This can be for lots of reasons, including underestimation of calorie targets, subtracting too many exercise calories or simply not knowing the correct information when it comes to nutrition and dieting.
